Turkish Airlines Expands North American Operations for Summer 2025

In a significant move to enhance its North American operations, Turkish Airlines has announced an increase in flights for the summer season of 2025. This expansion will improve connectivity between Istanbul and major U.S. cities, reflecting the airline’s commitment to meet growing travel demand. Starting July 7, 2025, Turkish Airlines will ramp up its service to Chicago and Los Angeles, making it easier for travelers to reach these bustling destinations.

Increased Flights to Chicago and Los Angeles

Turkish Airlines will boost its Istanbul (IST) to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) services from 14 to 17 weekly flights, utilizing the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. This schedule enhancement will be effective from July 7, 2025, until October 25, 2025, as reported by Aeroroutes.

New Flight Schedule from Istanbul to Chicago:

  • TK185: Departs IST at 06:30, arrives ORD at 09:50 (Daily)
  • TK005: Departs IST at 14:20, arrives ORD at 17:55 (Daily)
  • TK155: Departs IST at 18:45, arrives ORD at 22:00 (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays)

Return Flights from Chicago to Istanbul:

  • TK186: Departs ORD at 11:35, arrives IST at 05:45+1 (Daily)
  • TK006: Departs ORD at 19:50, arrives IST at 14:40+1 (Daily)
  • TK156: Departs ORD at 23:45, arrives IST at 18:05+1 (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays)

In addition, Turkish Airlines will also increase its Istanbul to Los Angeles (LAX) service from 14 to 17 weekly flights, starting on the same date.

Daily Flights to Denver

Moreover, Turkish Airlines is set to expand its non-stop service between Istanbul Airport (IST) and Denver International Airport (DEN), increasing the frequency from four weekly flights to daily service beginning June 9, 2025. This route will be operated using the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft.

Denver International Airport has seen tremendous growth, accommodating over 69 million passengers annually and offering connections to over 210 destinations across 14 countries.
