Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has partnered with Etihad Airways in a strategic codeshare agreement effective November 26, 2024. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in expanding travel opportunities for passengers of both airlines, allowing for smoother connections and greater accessibility to a broader network of destinations.

As part of this new agreement, Air Astana travelers will gain access to a variety of Etihad Airways flights, including popular routes to major cities such as:

  • Mumbai Airport (BOM)
  • King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH)
  • King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (DMA)
  • Bahrain International Airport (BAH)
  • Cairo International Airport (CAI)
  • Hamad International Airport in Doha (DOH)
  • Kuwait International Airport (KWI)
  • Muscat International Airport (MCT)

Seamless Connections for Air Astana Passengers

In addition to the new routes, Air Astana passengers can leverage Etihad’s extensive global network through seamless connections at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). This will be facilitated by Air Astana’s direct flights from Astana, which commenced in late October, and from Almaty International Airport (ALA), set to begin operations on December 5, 2024.
