Turkish Airlines is strengthening its fleet with the addition of five new Airbus A321 neo aircraft, following a lease agreement with Ireland-based SMBC Aviation Capital. A Growing Fleet of Airbus A321 Neo Aircraft
In addition to the recent lease with SMBC Aviation Capital, Turkish Airlines is set to receive six Airbus A321neo aircraft from BOC Aviation, with deliveries scheduled for 2027. Currently, BOC Aviation has placed 16 aircraft within the Turkish Airlines fleet, which includes:
- Five A320neos
- Seven Boeing 737 MAX 8s
- Four Boeing 777-300ERs
According to ch-aviation, Turkish Airlines is eagerly awaiting deliveries of 342 aircraft, which includes an impressive 206 A321neos from Airbus. Furthermore, in December 2023, the airline announced a substantial order for 220 Airbus aircraft, comprising:
- 150 A321s
- 70 A350 widebody aircraft (50 A350-900s, 15 A350-1000s, and 5 A350F freighters)
Additionally, Turkish Airlines has placed orders for 35 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and ten 787-9 Dreamliners, continuing its trajectory of growth and modernization.
