In mid-2024, Virgin Atlantic also entered into a codeshare agreement with EL AL, allowing passengers to book flights between London and Tel Aviv through alternate arrangements.

This partnership facilitates up to four daily flights between the two cities, ensuring continued connectivity for travelers even in the absence of Virgin Atlantic-operated services. As a result, maintaining a standalone London-Tel Aviv route became less critical for Virgin Atlantic, given the ability to meet connectivity goals through its partners.

Affected customers who booked directly with Virgin Atlantic will be notified via email and offered rebooking options through the codeshare with EL AL or the choice of refunds. The airline is committed to providing high-quality service during this transition to minimize disruption for its travelers.

In contrast, other UK carriers, including British Airways (BA) and easyJet (U2), have resumed flights to Israel. British Airways restarted its services in April 2025, while easyJet plans to follow suit in June 2025. Before the suspension, Virgin Atlantic operated 14 weekly flights to Tel Aviv, a significant reduction from its previous schedule.
