LATAM Unveils Exciting New Long-Haul Premium Economy Offering
LATAM recently revealed the launch of its new Premium Economy product, set to debut on August 5, 2025. This innovative cabin, named “Premium Comfort,” will be installed on the airline’s Boeing 787 aircraft and will be accessible to travelers starting in 2027.
The airline plans to earmark $100 million for this initiative, targeting the niche between Business and Economy classes. While specific details are still under wraps, LATAM has hinted that the Premium Comfort seats will offer more space and a better recline compared to standard economy options.
Enhanced Onboard Experience
Travelers purchasing Premium Comfort will enjoy a superior culinary experience and an upgraded inflight entertainment system featuring 16-inch 4K seatback screens. Additionally, the seats will be equipped with fast-charging USB-C ports and in-seat power outlets to keep personal devices charged.

Current Offerings
Currently, LATAM offers a product called “Premium Economy” on its narrow-body fleet, which operates regional flights within South America. They also provide LATAM+ seating options on both narrow and wide-body aircraft, although these are simply more spacious seats rather than a completely separate service class.
Significance of the Launch
LATAM is positioning its new Premium Comfort cabin as the first comprehensive long-haul Premium Economy option to be launched by a Latin American airline. This new offering is anticipated to enhance the travel experience for those seeking a more luxurious alternative without stepping up to Business Class.
