Korean Air and Swiss Federal Railways Enhance Seamless Travel Experience

Korean Air has recently formed a partnership with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to enhance travel options for its passengers, offering a seamless connection between air and rail transport throughout Switzerland.

The collaboration has led to the launch of the “Rail and Fly” program, which enables Korean Air travelers to journey by train from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to several key Swiss cities. These include Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Interlaken, and St. Gallen.

Through this program, passengers can conveniently book both their flight and train tickets via the Korean Air website or through designated travel agencies. The train service is available on the day of arrival in Zurich, the following day, as well as on the day of departure or the day prior.

Train tickets must be secured up to 72 hours before the flight’s departure on the SBB check-in portal. A reservation fee of CHF 5 (approximately US$6.22) will apply for individual seat selections.

This “Rail and Fly” initiative signifies Korean Air’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its services within the Swiss market. The airline has also reopened its Zurich office and now operates three non-stop flights weekly from Zurich to Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN).

Additionally, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has a partnership with Korea Railroad (KORAIL), enabling travelers to reserve flight tickets from Zurich to Seoul along with rail tickets for travel within South Korea on the SWISS website.
