Celebrating 10 Years of Boeing 777 Flights from Dubai to Orlando
Emirates, recognized as the world’s largest international airline, celebrates ten years of connecting its Dubai hub to Orlando, Florida. Launched in 2015, the route has quickly become one of the most sought-after links between the UAE and the US, with Emirates operating five weekly flights using its Boeing 777-300ER fleet.
A major highlight of this service is the extensive range of onward flights available to travelers from Orlando International Airport (MCO) through the airline’s robust network in Dubai. This connectivity allows passengers to explore numerous destinations worldwide seamlessly.
Popular cities served by Emirates for customers flying to Orlando include Mumbai, Manila, Hyderabad, Denpasar, Bangalore, and many others, with Dubai itself being a prominent point of origin.
Over the past decade, Emirates has transported over 1.1 million passengers on more than 4,700 flights to Orlando, a city famous for its attractions and events, as noted by the airline. “Our services play a crucial role in promoting tourism and business events in this vibrant destination,” the airline stated.
The airline has also been a key player in cargo transportation, moving over 14,000 tonnes of goods, thereby facilitating trade in various commodities. “It’s been an extraordinary decade connecting Orlando to the world,” commented Matthew Jones, Vice President (US) of Emirates, reflecting on the partnership with Orlando International Airport.
As the airline sets its sights on the future, it aims to adapt to evolving travel trends to enhance customer experiences further. “We are dedicated to providing top-tier products and maintaining our seamless connectivity to Dubai and beyond,” he added.
Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, celebrated the partnership, noting the importance of Emirates in offering business and leisure travelers a gateway to the Middle East. “We anticipate many more anniversaries and successes together,” he remarked.
Link Facilitates Global Trade
Emirates’ flights have contributed significantly to global trade by transporting over 14,000 tonnes of cargo from Orlando, covering a wide range of products from perishables and pets to pharmaceuticals.
With initiatives like Emirates Delivers operating out of Sarasota, the airline supports various global courier services. It also collaborates with well-known brands such as Siemens and Disney, enhancing business opportunities in the region.
“We are committed to bolstering local economies by facilitating cargo transportation from Orlando to our international network,” the airline affirmed, highlighting the vital role of Emirates SkyCargo in promoting economic growth through its extensive operations.
