SAS to Expand Network Significantly for Summer 2026 Travel

SAS Scandinavia Airlines has unveiled an extensive flight schedule for the summer of 2026. This newly announced program features nine fresh routes and six additional destinations, significantly enhancing connectivity across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The upcoming summer will see a notable 20% increase in seat capacity from Copenhagen, which translates to 50% more connecting opportunities for passengers.

The airline emphasized, “With more destinations than ever before, our schedule blends high-frequency business routes with leisure travel options, providing travelers with unparalleled flexibility, enhanced access, and smoother connections.”

SAS is reinforcing Copenhagen’s position as Scandinavia’s global hub through this expansion, demonstrating a commitment to bridging Scandinavia with the rest of the world.

New Routes and Destinations

The new flights from Copenhagen Airport aim to connect passengers to exciting cities like Mumbai, Istanbul, Riga, Luxembourg, Bordeaux, Marseille, Visby, and Madrid. Additionally, Oslo will introduce a new service linking the Norwegian capital with Hamburg.

Several previously seasonal routes will now operate year-round, including flights from Copenhagen to Ålesund, Edinburgh, and Thessaloniki.

In tandem with these new destinations, SAS is bolstering its frequency on over 30 existing routes. Notably, Copenhagen is set to offer more departures to cities like Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Krakow, and Tokyo. Stockholm will see enhancements to its services to Brussels, Dublin, Paris, and Vaasa, while Oslo will benefit from increased flights to Brussels, Dublin, and Reykjavik.
