Delta Teams Up with YouTube to Elevate In-Flight Entertainment Experience
Delta Air Lines, based in Atlanta, has recently teamed up with the popular video-sharing platform YouTube. This collaboration aims to enhance the onboard entertainment experience for travelers across Delta’s routes, providing ad-free access to a variety of YouTube videos, podcasts, and music playlists during flights.
Frequent flyers enrolled in Delta’s SkyMiles program can enjoy a 14-day free trial of YouTube Premium. To access this offer, passengers need to log into Delta Sync Wi-Fi on eligible flights within the US, and no payment information is necessary.
Delta Partners with YouTube for Enhanced Entertainment
On September 25, 2025, Delta and YouTube unveiled their partnership, which aims to elevate the entertainment options for passengers. Initially announced at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, this collaboration promises to be groundbreaking, merging a leading airline with a major media entity to provide enhanced content onboard.
According to Delta, “The new partnership will be available on personal seatback screens throughout the fleet, offering SkyMiles Members and other travelers seamless, ad-free access to a selection of popular YouTube creators, podcasts, and music playlists on most flights.”
Delta boasts over 165,000 seatback screens aboard 930+ aircraft, all equipped with complimentary Delta Sync Wi-Fi. This extensive entertainment system allows the airline to reach more passengers than many international competitors. The selection of YouTube content, including videos, podcasts, and playlists, is currently becoming available across these screens.
Travelers can expect to find podcasts and videos from notable creators such as Mr. Beast, Nick Giovanni, Kinigra Deon, Michelle Khare, Mel Robbins, and many more. The offerings cover a wide range of topics including travel, lifestyle, comedy, and culture. Additionally, passengers can explore YouTube Music playlists that cater to various musical tastes and genres.
“Delta and YouTube are showcasing creators as cultural connectors,” said an airline spokesperson. “From food and travel influencers to storytellers, this partnership will bring a diverse array of voices aboard, enhancing the overall travel experience.”
Julieta McCurry, Delta’s Vice President of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, stated, “Our customers love YouTube, and this partnership stems from that insight. With a rich shared history of innovation, Delta and YouTube are set to deliver an unparalleled customer experience that helps passengers discover more about their world.”
More Than Just In-Flight Screens
The partnership doesn’t stop at personal screens. Delta’s boarding music will now feature YouTube Music, providing customers with a new instrumental pop soundscape designed with Delta Flight Attendants to create a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
“We are thrilled to integrate the best of YouTube and YouTube Premium into Delta’s in-flight entertainment,” remarked Miguel Quiroga, Vice President of Product Partnerships at YouTube. “Be it on televisions, smartphones, or seatback screens, travelers can enjoy content from YouTube’s top creators, popular podcasts, and favorite music—now without interruptions, thanks to free access to YouTube Premium.”
This new collaboration is part of Delta’s broader initiative to integrate cutting-edge technology with meaningful partnerships, improving customer engagement with content both in the air and on the ground. Delta CEO Ed Bastian emphasized, “Technology has the potential to transform travel, allowing our customers to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.”
“With fast, free Wi-Fi, industry-leading seatback screens, and numerous personalized channels in Delta’s digital ecosystem, we are dedicated to creating an enriching travel experience for our passengers,” he added.
