Air Arabia, the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa, has proudly taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. This acquisition is a significant step in the airline’s growth and fleet enhancement strategy.
The new aircraft is the initial delivery from a substantial order made in 2019 for a total of 120 A320 family planes. This order, worth approximately $14 billion, consists of 73 A320neo, 27 A321neo, and 20 A321XLR models.
In a statement dated September 29, 2025, Air Arabia celebrated this milestone with a special event at Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) in the UAE. Airline executives, government representatives, and airport officials gathered to mark the occasion.
“Through the years, our current fleet and cabin layout have facilitated dependable operations and a positive passenger experience,” stated Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia. “Adding the A320neo will significantly elevate our operational capabilities and support our expansion into new markets.”
