Air Canada Introduces Free Snacks and Drinks on All Economy Flights

Air Canada has recently enriched its economy class offerings by providing complimentary beer, wine, and a variety of snacks to all passengers. This enhancement in the in-flight experience was rolled out on September 1, 2025, and features distinct Canadian snack options across its flight routes.

Air Canada first introduced this upgraded service on flights within the U.S. and Canada but has now expanded availability to all destinations, including the Caribbean and Mexico.

In a statement, Scott O’Leary, Vice President of Loyalty & Product at Air Canada, emphasized the airline’s commitment to improving the onboard experience. “We’re thrilled to unveil additional exciting menu options that proudly highlight Canadian brands, allowing our customers to relax and enjoy their journey, no matter where they’re headed,” O’Leary noted.

Complimentary Refreshments and Snacks Offered

Passengers on Air Canada can look forward to a selection of complimentary refreshments and snacks tailored to the time of day:

Morning Flights (Before 10 AM)
For morning flights, travelers can savor MadeGood Mornings Cinnamon Bun Soft Baked Oat Bars, along with popular Canadian snacks like TWIGZ Craft Pretzels and Leclerc’s Celebration Cookies.

Flights After 10:30 AM
On flights that depart after 10:30 AM, complimentary Greenhouse Ginger Defence Wellness Shots are provided. These organic, plant-based shots offer a refreshing energy boost and are also included in Air Canada’s premium snack baskets and Bistro menu.

Enhanced Air Canada Bistro Options
The revamped Air Canada Bistro features an array of Canadian-made snack choices, such as Summer Fresh Hummus & Crackers and Quaker Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal Cups. New items include TWIGZ Sour Cream & Onion Pretzels and the ever-popular Smarties.

Innovative Selections
Notably, Air Canada has become the first North American airline to offer non-alcoholic beer on board, introducing Heineken 0.0 to its consumers.
