Jetstar Introduces A321LR Flights from Sunshine Coast to Bali Through Singapore
Jetstar is set to launch direct flights from Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) to Denpasar Airport (DPS) in Bali, with connections available via Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). This new route is scheduled to begin on March 25, 2026, marking the Sunshine Coast’s inaugural international service.
The airline will run three flights each week to Bali using its Airbus A321LR fleet, offering around 70,000 seats annually. Passengers can expect a flight time of approximately six hours.
This service represents Jetstar’s first direct connection between the Sunshine Coast and Bali, adding to its growing list of ten direct routes from Australia to this popular Indonesian destination. It also follows the earlier launch of Gold Coast-Bali flights and is one of four Bali services originating from Queensland.
Connections via Singapore
The flight schedule is designed to sync with Jetstar’s existing services between Bali and Singapore, enabling same-day travel from Sunshine Coast to Singapore, with a stopover in Bali. This route also opens a new gateway for travelers from Singapore and Southeast Asia to explore the Sunshine Coast region.
Jetstar has introduced a 48-hour promotional campaign, with one-way fares from Sunshine Coast to Bali starting at AUD 199 (approximately USD 130), available through the airline’s website.

The introduction of this service means residents of the Sunshine Coast no longer need to travel nearly 100 kilometers south to Brisbane Airport for international flights to Bali or Singapore. Additionally, it simplifies access to the Sunshine Coast region for inbound tourists without requiring transfers through Brisbane.
The A321LR aircraft is specifically designed for long-range operations, allowing airlines to serve extended routes with single-aisle planes. Jetstar’s choice to deploy this model on the Sunshine Coast-Bali route underscores the carrier’s commitment to meeting market demand for this new connection.
