Southwest Airlines Teams Up with European Airline: What to Expect

DALLAS- Southwest Airlines (WN) and Condor (DE) have announced a strategic partnership, connecting Condor’s long-haul service from Frankfurt (FRA) with Southwest’s extensive domestic network across key US cities. This collaboration enables seamless ticketing for travel via Boston (BOS), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Portland (PDX), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA).

Starting on January 19, 2026, this agreement will allow travelers to book connecting itineraries through Condor, as well as through travel agencies and online platforms.

Southwest Airlines and Condor Partnership

This partnership combines Condor’s growing European and intercontinental reach with Southwest’s robust US coverage. Condor offers nearly 70 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas from its Frankfurt hub.

Through high-frequency operations, Southwest provides essential domestic connections, allowing Condor passengers to easily access numerous US cities.

Among these cities, Las Vegas is a standout, thanks to Southwest’s extensive schedule and consistent visitor demand.

By uniting these services, international travelers can conveniently connect to over 70 US cities from LAS, creating a solid link between transatlantic arrivals and domestic flights.

Both airlines emphasize the importance of enhancing customer choice and connectivity. With this deal, Southwest continues to expand its international partnerships, now collaborating with five foreign carriers.

The airline is also set to implement product upgrades, including redesigned cabins and options for assigned seating, slated to begin on January 27, 2026.

Condor’s Modern Long Haul Fleet

Condor has recently completed the renewal of its long-haul fleet with the Airbus A330neo, boasting 18 aircraft operational in 2024 and planning to increase to 25 by 2031.

The airline serves nearly 10 million passengers each year and upholds high safety standards through its dedicated engineering division based in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

Meanwhile, its short and medium-haul aircraft renewal is progressing, with 43 A32Xneo family planes scheduled for delivery by 2029.

Southwest’s Domestic Reach

Southwest Airlines operates at 117 airports across 11 countries, making it one of the largest domestic networks in the United States.
