Experience Sake and Wine Tastings at 30,000 Feet with AirJapan This Winter
AirJapan, a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways (ANA), is set to introduce a series of engaging onboard events from December 2025 to March 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the customer experience by offering passengers instant photo opportunities, sake and wine tastings, and a capsule toy game on selected flights.
These exciting offerings stem from collaboration between cabin crew and management, who sought to create unforgettable experiences during the holiday and spring travel seasons. The airline dedicated nearly a year to the development of this unique program.
Holiday Photo Sessions
The first event will take place during the Christmas and New Year period, allowing passengers to have instant photos taken by the cabin crew with Instax analog cameras. This service will be available from December 23 to 25, as well as from December 31, 2025, to January 3, 2026. Passengers flying between Tokyo’s Narita Airport (NRT) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) can take advantage of this special offer.
Sake and Wine Tastings at 30,000 Feet
From January 16 to 30, 2026, passengers will have the chance to indulge in complimentary tastings of Japanese sake and wine, featured in the airline’s beverage service. This timing aligns with the availability of freshly brewed sake from Japan.
These tastings will also be offered on the same routes between Tokyo and Bangkok as well as Tokyo and Singapore.
Capsule Toy Game Returns
AirJapan will revive its popular “Gacha” capsule toy event from February 9 through March 28, 2026. After its successful debut as a summer promotion earlier this year, this event allows passengers to participate for JPY 500 (approximately $3.00) per attempt.
Participants can look forward to six prize categories, with a 1:400 scale model airplane as the grand prize (only one per flight). Other offerings include AirJapan eco bags for 50 winners, along with new items such as mini pouches, towels, acrylic keychains, and ribbons.
This event will be available on the Bangkok and Singapore routes, including the additional Singapore flight (NQ113). AirJapan highlights these programs as part of its commitment to integrate elements of Japanese culture, like instant photography and capsule toy fun, into the flying experience. Each event is limited to specific dates and routes.
