LEVEL Introduces New Route to Lima with Its Own Flight Code
LEVEL, the budget-friendly long-haul airline within the International Airlines Group (IAG), has unveiled plans for a new direct route connecting Barcelona (BCN) and Lima (LIM), Peru.
While the announcement was made on December 22, 2025, the development wasn’t unexpected. Earlier that month, Aldo Prieto, Peru’s Minister of Transport and Communications, hinted at LEVEL’s intentions to link this Latin American nation with Europe.
The service is set to commence on June 3, 2026, operating three times a week. Flights will depart from Barcelona on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 13:55, landing in Lima at 19:50, all in local times.
For this route, the Barcelona-based airline will utilize the Airbus A330-200. This aircraft features a two-class layout, consisting of 42 Premium Economy seats and 260 in Economy Class.
With this latest announcement, LEVEL continues to execute its growth strategy from the Catalan capital. The airline currently operates a fleet of seven Airbus A330-200s and anticipates adding an eighth aircraft to its roster in 2026.
LEVEL is also stepping up its operational independence within IAG. In December 2025, nearly a year after receiving its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC), the airline began to operate under its own IATA code (LL), moving away from the Iberia designation.
