United Airlines flight attendants based in Chicago are set to receive significant pay raises under a new five-year tentative contract announced by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. The agreement promises an average base pay increase of 26.9%, with first-year attendants seeing hourly wages rise from $28.88 to $36.92, and veteran attendants from $67.11 to $84.78. Additional benefits include improved layover accommodations, enhanced meals, and increased per diem rates. A retroactive bonus of $595 million will also be distributed. The contract aims to improve working conditions and will be voted on in late July 2025.
