Allegiant Air to Launch 44 New Routes and 3 Cities in 2025
Allegiant Air Launches Major Expansion in 2025: 44 New Nonstop Routes and More
Allegiant Air, the Las Vegas-based airline known for its affordable travel options, is embarking on one of its most significant expansion initiatives in its 27-year history. In 2025, the airline will introduce 44 new nonstop routes along with three new city destinations, enhancing its route network as it adds new aircraft and hires additional staff. This ambitious move is poised to provide travelers with more options and convenience while maintaining Allegiant’s commitment to low-cost airfare.
To celebrate this expansion, Allegiant Air has initiated a fare sale, offering one-way tickets on new routes starting at just $39. The new flights will kick off in February 2025, broadening Allegiant’s service to 51 cities across the United States.
New Destinations and Routes
As part of this expansion, Allegiant Air will introduce routes to three new airports:
- Gulf Shores Airport (GUF) in Alabama
- Colorado Springs Airport (COS) in Colorado
- Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in South Carolina
Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We’re excited to announce that Allegiant is expanding nationwide, offering even more travel options to our customers. These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to meet customer demand.” He emphasized that the airline is dedicated to connecting more cities, making it easier for travelers to visit loved ones and enjoy top leisure destinations.
Expansion Driven by Leisure Demand
Allegiant’s recent expansion is a response to robust leisure demand and a commitment to providing ultra-low-cost airfare to underserved communities. The airline’s strategy focuses on servicing periods with increased leisure travel, including holidays, summers, weekends, and school breaks.

Allegiant Air’s Fleet and Future Plans
Since its inaugural flight in 1999, Allegiant Air has swiftly expanded its operations, carving out a unique position in the U.S. market, particularly as smaller carriers face challenges competing with larger legacy airlines. Currently, Allegiant operates a fleet of 130 aircraft, including 35 Airbus A319s, 94 A320s, and a single Boeing 737 MAX 8-200.
