LONDON – In a significant victory for employees, Unite, the UK’s leading union, has successfully negotiated a substantial pay raise for 550 Qantas Airways cabin crew members stationed at Heathrow Terminal 3. The new salary increases range from 11% to 18%, with retroactive application dating back to July 2023.   • Flight Attendants and Business Flight Attendants: 15% base pay increase
  • Customer Service Supervisors: 12% base pay increase
  • Customer Service Managers: 8% base pay increase

In addition to these increases, all employee groups will benefit from a previously agreed-upon 3% raise on both base and variable pay. The negotiated package also includes enhanced pension benefits, with accelerated contributions moving forward from 2025. Employer pension contributions will increase from 5% to 9%, and a new salary sacrifice scheme will elevate worker compensation to 10% without requiring additional employee contributions.
