JetBlue Resumes Two Nonstop Routes from Fort Lauderdale
JetBlue Enhances South Florida Travel with New Nonstop Routes
JetBlue Airways is set to boost travel options from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) by reinstating two key nonstop routes starting July 2025. This strategic move underscores JetBlue’s commitment to its South Florida operations, making it easier for travelers to reach popular destinations. The airline will reintroduce flights connecting Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Strengthening JetBlue’s South Florida Presence
As the leading premium leisure carrier in the region, JetBlue has increased its flight departures by 6% compared to last year. With over 70 daily flights to more than 30 destinations from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), the airline is reinforcing its competitive edge in the South Florida market. JetBlue currently offers the most flights to Caribbean and Latin American destinations this summer, and it has ramped up its lie-flat seat capacity by over 60% since last summer.
Daniel Shurz, JetBlue’s head of revenue, network, and enterprise planning, emphasized the importance of these routes: “We’re not only making it easier for more customers to get to their favorite vacation destinations but also connecting them with family and friends, while strengthening JetBlue’s position as a preferred carrier in South Florida.”
Comfortable Travel Experience with JetBlue
Passengers on the reinstated routes will travel aboard JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft, enjoying the airline’s signature amenities. These include complimentary snacks and beverages, high-speed Fly-Fi internet, and seatback entertainment. The return of these routes comes after a temporary pause due to network optimization, but favorable market conditions and increased aircraft availability have allowed JetBlue to bring back these popular connections.
Special Promotional Fares to Celebrate Route Relaunch
To celebrate the relaunch of these routes, JetBlue is offering limited-time promotional fares. Travelers can book one-way tickets for just $69 between Fort Lauderdale and Philadelphia, and $119 from Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil. These special rates are available exclusively on JetBlue’s website. Customers who book directly will also enjoy guaranteed lowest fares, double TrueBlue points, and 24/7 customer service access.
Expanding JetBlue’s East Coast Reach
JetBlue continues to solidify its reputation as New York’s Hometown Airline while maintaining robust operations in key cities such as Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), Orlando (MCO), and San Juan (SJU). The airline serves over 100 destinations across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe. This expansion highlights JetBlue’s commitment to offering travelers value, choice, and convenience in the competitive South Florida market.
