DUBAI- Emirates (EK) is witnessing a notable rise in first-class and business-class bookings for flights heading to the UK from significant Asian markets, particularly China and India, throughout the first half of 2025.

The airline has observed a substantial increase in demand across its UK routes, with premium bookings playing a pivotal role in boosting inbound tourism via Dubai International Airport (DXB) and aiding Britain’s economic aims.

Emirates has recorded a marked increase in first-class bookings from China and India to the United Kingdom in 2025. When comparing it to the same timeframe last year, demand surged by 27% from China and 17% from India.

Additionally, business class bookings from Australia experienced a 10% rise year-on-year. All travelers on these routes connect through Dubai International Airport (DXB), reinforcing its position as a global travel nexus.

The airline attributes this trend to the recovery of travel following the pandemic, heightened outbound tourism from Asia, and a growing fascination with Britain as a travel destination.

To enhance UK tourism efforts, Emirates has formalized a partnership with VisitBritain, the national tourism authority. This initiative aims to increase inbound travel by improving airline connectivity and raising seat availability at regional UK airports.
