Gulfstream Unveils World’s Longest-Range Business Jet

SAVANNAH- Gulfstream Aerospace has achieved a significant milestone by delivering its inaugural G800, the longest-range business jet globally, after completing FAA and EASA certifications on April 16, 2025.

This accomplishment showcases the G800’s cutting-edge features, finalized at Gulfstream’s facility in Appleton, Wisconsin, establishing new benchmarks in both range and cabin comfort.

With a range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 km) at Mach 0.85, the G800 promises unparalleled performance for intercontinental journeys.

Gulfstream G800 First Delivery

The first customer delivery of the Gulfstream G800, known for its impressive range of 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, took place after thorough outfitting at the Appleton completions center.

Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream, expressed enthusiasm regarding the aircraft’s reception and praised the team’s expertise, noting similarities to the G700 in terms of program execution. This delivery represents a significant step forward for Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet.

Recognized with the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design, the G800 features a cabin altitude of just 2,840 feet while cruising at 41,000 feet.

Its innovative design includes 100% fresh air, advanced plasma ionization purification, and boasts 16 panoramic oval windows. The cabin can accommodate up to four living areas or three with a crew compartment.

The aircraft’s performance includes certifications for enhanced range and speed; it can reach 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 and 8,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.87, with a maximum speed of Mach 0.935.

Offering the longest range of any business jet, the G800 allows for continuous global travel, balancing high speeds with exceptional efficiency.

The launch of the G800 aligns perfectly with Gulfstream’s vision of providing technologically advanced jets on proven platforms.
