Air Transat Unveils Exciting New Summer 2026 Routes
MONTREAL- Air Transat (TS), recognized as the 2025 World’s Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, has unveiled exciting plans for its Summer 2026 schedule. This ambitious expansion introduces three new international routes and converts several popular seasonal flights into year-round services.
This initiative strengthens connections from Canada to major destinations across Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, with new flights launching from Québec City (YQB), Ottawa (YOW), and Montréal (YUL). Air Transat is solidifying its place as a significant player in the international leisure travel market.

New Routes by Air Transat
The recent expansion of Air Transat’s network emphasizes its strategy to enhance its global presence while providing more direct flight options for travelers.
Highlights of the Summer 2026 program include exclusive transatlantic routes, reinforced domestic connections for better hub accessibility, and expanded southern routes that will now operate year-round.
New Routes from Québec
Starting May 21, 2026, travelers can enjoy direct weekly flights from Québec City (YQB) to Marseille (MRS) every Thursday, offering an exciting gateway to southern France.
This route complements the existing service between Québec City and Paris (CDG), responding to increasing travel interest from Eastern Canada to France.
Furthermore, the Québec City to Fort-de-France (FDF) route, which was set to launch on December 14, 2025, will continue throughout summer 2026 with weekly flights every Monday. This ensures consistent access to Martinique year-round.
New Routes from Ottawa
In a first for Air Transat, non-stop flights from Ottawa (YOW) to London Gatwick (LGW) will commence on May 15, 2026, with three weekly flights on Fridays, Sundays, and Tuesdays.
To improve regional connectivity, Air Transat will also introduce a new domestic route from Ottawa to Montréal (YUL), running from May 5 to October 23, 2026. This will enhance travel access to the airline’s extensive international network.
This initiative aligns with Air Transat’s collaboration with Porter Airlines, as they work together to establish Ottawa as a central hub for travel in eastern Canada.
Southern Routes from Montréal and Toronto
Beginning in Summer 2026, several popular destinations will shift from seasonal to year-round service. These include:
| Route | Frequency | Operating Days |
|---|---|---|
| Montréal (YUL) – Cartagena (CTG) – Medellín (MDE) | 1 flight/week | Thursdays |
| Montréal (YUL) – Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP) | 2 flights/week | Tuesdays, Saturdays |
