NOIDA- The highly anticipated Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is approaching a significant milestone as it gears up to commence flight operations by mid-December 2025.

Constructed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), the airport is set to become the second major aviation hub for the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), complementing the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

Noida International Airport on the Verge of Launch

In its first phase, NIA will feature inaugural flights operated by prominent Indian airlines, including IndiGo (6E), Akasa Air (QP), and Air India Express (IX), as reported by various sources.

Airline representatives are currently finalizing schedules, which are expected to be announced soon.

The infrastructure for Phase 1 is ready for operations, pending final approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The inaugural phase of Noida International Airport features a 3,900-meter runway and a passenger terminal designed to accommodate 12 million travelers each year.

Covering an area of 1,334 hectares, the airport incorporates state-of-the-art facilities, eco-friendly technologies, and a modular design that facilitates future expansion.

Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has highlighted that NIA is set to connect at least ten domestic cities in its initial stages, with aspirations to evolve into a major cargo center in the future.
