Cebu Pacific Welcomes 13th Airbus A330neo to Broaden Its Widebody Fleet

Cebu Pacific’s latest Airbus A330neo landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on November 2, 2025, after successfully completing its delivery flight from Airbus in Toulouse, France. This aircraft marks the third of four widebody jets that will enhance the low-cost carrier’s fleet this year.

The airline received its first two A330neos on March 28 and July 18, 2025, with the final jet expected before the year concludes.

Deployment of the A330neo

Cebu Pacific plans to utilize the 459-seat widebody aircraft on vital domestic routes. Starting November 2, 2025, it will operate four times weekly between Manila and Puerto Princesa International Airport. Additionally, beginning November 16, 2025, the aircraft will offer daily service between Manila and Bohol–Panglao International Airport.

Changing the Game

This move signifies a noteworthy evolution in how Philippine airlines utilize widebody aircraft, which have typically been reserved for international travel. By introducing these larger planes on booming domestic routes, Cebu Pacific aims to maximize passenger capacity while optimizing operational efficiency.

Recognized Excellence

Recently awarded Asia’s Low-Cost Airline of the Year by the Centre for Aviation (CAPA), Cebu Pacific believes that the A330neo enhances their ability to adapt to varying passenger demands, whether for regional flights or long-haul international travel.

Environmental Benefits

The A330neo is part of the newest generation of Airbus aircraft, boasting 15% reduced fuel consumption per flight and significantly lower noise levels compared to predecessors. This fuel efficiency leads to decreased carbon emissions, aligning with the airline’s commitment to environmental sustainability and also lowering operational expenses.

“Being the largest A330neo operator in Asia reflects our strong commitment to enhancing connectivity across the region,” stated Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer. “This aircraft enables us to serve more passengers while keeping costs low, which is a key part of our mission to offer affordable fares for every Juan.”
