This addition marks a pivotal step in the airline’s efforts to modernize its long-haul services and strengthens its ongoing collaboration with Airbus. The A330-900 is set to play an essential role in Air Algérie’s expansion strategy, particularly from its hub at Algiers-Houari Boumediene Airport (ALG), facilitating new routes to both transatlantic and Asian destinations.

The A330neo boasts the award-winning Airspace cabin, designed to provide passengers with an exceptional travel experience. It includes more personal space, larger overhead storage, an updated lighting system, and access to the latest in-flight entertainment technology.

Air Algérie aims to establish itself as a center for A330neo excellence by developing its maintenance and repair capabilities and creating a dedicated maintenance training center.

According to a recent tweet, Air Algérie has received its A330-900NEO as part of a deal for 12 aircraft intended to refresh its fleet, with this particular plane named “November 54” in honor of Algeria’s glorious revolution.
