Etihad Airways to Begin Peshawar Flights in September 2025
Etihad Airways will launch direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar starting September 29, 2025, marking its fourth Pakistani destination. This new route reinforces Etihad’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, as it operates 16 new destinations in 2025. Initially, flights will run five times a week, increasing to daily service by November 22, 2025, using Airbus A320 aircraft. CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted the importance of this route for travelers between Pakistan and various global regions. Additionally, the airline will up its Karachi flights to 17 weekly, catering to the large Pakistani expatriate community in the UAE.

Qantas Upgrades 42 Boeing 737 Cabins, Updates A321XLR
Qantas has announced significant upgrades to its Boeing 737 fleet, enhancing the inflight experience for domestic and short-haul international passengers. The renovation of 42 aircraft will feature new Business and Economy seating, increased overhead storage, and a complete cabin refurbishment. Fast, free Wi-Fi will continue to be available. The first upgraded aircraft is expected in service by 2027. This initiative is part of Qantas’ broader fleet renewal strategy, which includes transitioning to Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Qantas Group CEO Vanessa Hudson emphasized the importance of these upgrades in transforming the customer experience and supporting crew members in delivering quality service.
Severe Turbulence on United Flight from SF to Singapore Injures 5
On March 27, 2025, United Airlines Flight UA29 from San Francisco to Singapore encountered severe turbulence, injuring five individuals, including one flight attendant with serious injuries.
