Korean Air Unveils Enhanced Prestige Lounge Featuring Ramyeon Library and Arcades
Korean Air has revealed its newly updated Prestige East Lounge at Incheon International Airport (ICN) Terminal 2, with plans to welcome passengers beginning January 14, 2026. The lounge spans 1,553 square meters and offers 192 seating options, showcasing a design reminiscent of luxury hotel lounges.
Essential amenities are abundant, including buffet and live cooking stations, comfortable dining areas, a bar, shower facilities, and specialized workspaces tailored for business travelers.
Ramyeon Library: A Unique Interactive Feature
This revamped lounge introduces several immersive zones, aimed at enriching the experience for a variety of travelers, stepping away from traditional airport offerings.
A standout element is the Ramyeon Library, a self-service nook where guests can personalize their instant noodles. Reflecting the rising popularity of Korean cuisine, visitors can choose their favorite noodles and toppings before preparing them using automated machines.
The Cooking Studio L’atelier, in collaboration with chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon, also resides in the lounge. It offers engaging classes like chocolate bark making, with sessions available through on-site reservations.
For entertainment, an arcade area includes photo booths, claw machines, air hockey, and racing games, catering especially to younger travelers and families.
Korean Air emphasizes that these interactive zones are crafted to foster unforgettable pre-flight moments, offering enhanced options for families and younger demographics.
Enhanced Passenger Flow Through Digital Integration
The airline has embraced technology to improve the lounge experience and streamline passenger flow effectively.
A new lounge reservation system lets passengers with vouchers or mileage book access in advance via the Korean Air website or app. First and Prestige Class travelers, along with SkyTeam Elite Plus members, retain priority access without needing to reserve.
Real-time monitoring provides updates on current lounge occupancy, using data from automated entry gates to help guests choose less busy times. Additionally, a mobile queuing system notifies travelers when seats become available during peak hours.
Part of a Larger Terminal 2 Development
The reopening of the Prestige East Lounge, located on Terminal 2’s fourth floor across from Gate 253, is part of a larger upgrade initiative within Incheon’s Terminal 2. This expansion aligns with Korean Air’s plans for its merger with Asiana Airlines.
Completion of the first phase of the lounge renovation occurred in August 2025, introducing a redesigned Miler Club, a Prestige East (Right) Lounge, and two Prestige Garden lounges located at opposite ends of the terminal. Renovations for the First Class Lounge and Prestige West Lounge are scheduled for completion by mid-2026. Once all projects are finalized, the lounge space at Terminal 2 will increase from 5,105 square meters to 12,270 square meters, along with an increase in seating from 898 to 1,566 seats, significantly improving service capacity and passenger convenience.
