Embraer is enhancing its presence in India’s aviation market by negotiating with major airlines IndiGo and Air India to sell aircraft. This move includes establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary in New Delhi to support local manufacturing initiatives and strengthen commercial ties. Embraer currently operates around 50 aircraft in India across 11 models, demonstrating fleet adaptability. With the Indian aviation sector witnessing rapid growth, both IndiGo and Air India are expanding their fleets, presenting opportunities for Embraer. Air Canada Reduces US Routes, Adds A330 Service to Tampa
Air Canada is implementing significant route cuts and capacity adjustments for summer 2025 to optimize operations. Notably, flights to Hartford, Kansas City, and Baltimore from Toronto will be canceled, and the Toronto-Portland route will not resume. While reducing frequencies on some U.S. routes, the airline will increase capacity on others, adding daily flights on routes like Toronto-Chicago and introducing mainline service for routes to Philadelphia, Raleigh/Durham, and St. Louis. Additionally, the Toronto-Tampa route will be upgraded to Airbus A330-300 service, consolidating passenger demand. Air Canada aims to offer approximately 160,000 weekly seats to the U.S.
