IndiGo Expands IndiGoStretch to 10 New Metro Routes in 2025

GURUGRAM – IndiGo (6E), India’s largest airline, is set to enhance the travel experience for business passengers by expanding its premium service, IndiGoStretch, to 10 new metro routes in 2025. Following the resounding success of IndiGoStretch on the Delhi (DEL) to Mumbai (BOM) route, this strategic move aims to redefine domestic air travel and solidify IndiGo’s status as a market leader.

The introduction of IndiGoStretch signifies a commitment to providing enhanced comfort and convenience, particularly for the growing number of business travelers in India’s bustling metro areas.

IndiGoStretch Expands to 10 New Metro Routes

IndiGoStretch is designed to prioritize passenger comfort on some of India’s busiest routes. Currently available on the Delhi (DEL) – Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) – Bengaluru (BLR) routes, the service will soon extend to include Delhi (DEL) – Chennai (MAA) and seven additional metro routes by the end of the year.

  • By January 2025, all 20 daily flights between Delhi and Mumbai will feature the IndiGoStretch experience.
  • Additionally, 15 daily flights between Delhi and Bengaluru will adopt this premium service by March 2025.

This expansion targets the increasing demand for premium travel experiences among India’s business community.

IndiGo’s Strategic Expansion

IndiGo’s expansion plan coincides with its impressive Q3 FY25 performance, where the airline operated 2,200 daily flights and served 31.3 million passengers. CEO Pieter Elbers attributed this growth to a resurgence in air travel demand and the untapped market potential in India.

With international operations now accounting for 28% of its Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), IndiGo is strategically positioned to capture both domestic and international markets. “International travel is key to our growth as Indian travelers explore beyond borders,” Elbers emphasized.
