Similar meal order issues have also affected other airlines.

Gulf Air Set to Launch New US Flights After Permit Approval
Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, plans to resume flights to the United States in mid-2025 after receiving an operating license from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The airline, which previously operated routes to Houston and New York from 1994 to 1997, aims to establish transatlantic services following improvements in FAA safety compliance. Gulf Air’s CEO, Jeffrey Goh, confirmed that if all goes well, flights could start on the 6,613-mile route from Bahrain to New York-JFK, operating three times weekly. The airline is also modernizing its fleet and benefiting from upgrades at Bahrain International Airport.
