Emirates and Air Canada Expand Partnership with Exciting New Routes

Emirates and Air Canada have announced their intentions to enhance and extend their strategic partnership. This collaboration has successfully provided global access to over 225 destinations worldwide.

The announcement coincides with an order for eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft by Emirates during the recent Dubai Airshow 2025.

Improving Services for Customers and Cargo

Emirates shared that the renewed agreement is set to improve services for both passengers and cargo shippers. This initiative also creates avenues for new routes across Canada, the Americas, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent.

The partnership aims to elevate the overall customer experience by offering enhanced priority benefits and fostering closer collaboration between both airlines. A significant aspect of this collaboration includes plans for relocating operations to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) post-2032.

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Air Canada’s Cargo division, remarked, “Renewing this partnership is great news, not just for our customers – many of whom have family, cultural, or business ties to these regions – but also for Canada, as it enhances our ability to connect the country to the world amid evolving trade and travel patterns.”

Connecting Through Codeshare Routes

Since the inception of their partnership in 2022, the airlines have catered to over 550,000 customers. They have successfully linked travelers through 56 codeshare routes connecting Canada, the United States, Dubai, and other key destinations.

Both airlines have formalized a memorandum of understanding to extend their reciprocal codeshare agreement until December 31, 2032.
