Ethiopian Airlines Expands A350 Fleet with New Deliveries at DAS

Ethiopian Airlines has recently bolstered its fleet with additional Airbus A350 widebody aircraft at the Dubai Airshow, following the initial order of six directly from Airbus on the second day of the event.

On November 21, 2025, Novus Aviation Capital, based in Dubai, disclosed the formalization of an agreement to lease two Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Africa’s leading airline.

The lease agreement was finalized during a signing ceremony held at the Airbus Chalet at the Dubai Airshow, showcasing the cooperative spirit of the aviation sector.

Mounir Kuzbari, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Novus Aviation Capital, expressed pride in the ongoing collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines. He noted, “Ethiopian Airlines has long been a key customer for Novus, and we are delighted to support their fleet expansion with these additional A350 aircraft.”

Kuzbari emphasized the partnership’s importance, stating, “This collaboration highlights our capability to provide solutions that align with the evolving needs of our airline customers.”

Ethiopian Airlines has remained active throughout the Dubai Airshow, making significant orders with both Boeing and Airbus. Apart from the six A350-900s ordered from Airbus, the airline also secured an order for 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets.

Additionally, ATR has announced that Ethiopian Airlines will lease two new ATR 72-600 aircraft to Air Congo, the national carrier of Congo, where Ethiopian possesses a 49% stake.

On November 18, 2025, Ethiopian Airlines further enhanced its service offerings by signing a deal with Collins Aerospace to equip 11 Airbus A350s, 56 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, and its newly announced 777-9 order with premium lie-flat business class seating solutions.
