BermudAir Introduces AnguillAir: Connecting Luxury Islands to the US
BermudAir, an airline predominantly serving the Bermuda to U.S. routes, has introduced a fresh scheduled service connecting Anguilla to Boston-Logan (BOS), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), and Washington-Baltimore (BWI). This initiative comes under its newly branded identity, AnguillAir.
Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory, is nestled in the Lesser Antilles, located between Saint Martin and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The island, which is home to about 15,000 residents, has gained acclaim as a luxurious tourist destination, featuring numerous upscale resorts along its picturesque beaches.
The direct flights to Boston, Newark, and Baltimore are set to commence on December 17, 18, and 19, 2025, respectively. These services will operate twice a week between each city pair.
BermudAir operates a fleet of four Embraer E-Jets, which include two E175 and two E195 aircraft configured with 88 and 96 seats in a two-class setting. Back in 2023, the airline briefly considered launching a premium business-only service to the U.S., but this idea was shelved after just six weeks, leading to a return to a more conventional dual-class business model.
The flights under AnguillAir will be facilitated using BermudAir’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC). The airline emphasized that creating a separate brand represents an initial step in diversifying and expanding its operations in the region.
These new routes will notably enhance connectivity from Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA). Currently, the only other non-stop service available from Anguilla to the U.S. is American Eagle’s route to Miami International Airport (MIA).
