Emirates Boosts Direct Dubai-Cairo Flights to Five Daily Services
Emirates, the leading international airline, is set to enhance its services in response to the growing demand during the northern winter 2025/26. Starting December 1, 2025, six additional weekly flights will connect Dubai’s extensive hub with Cairo. These new flights are strategically planned to align with the airline’s vast global network, addressing the peak season’s high demand.
Beginning on February 1, 2026, these six weekly flights will evolve into daily operations. This adjustment aims to complement the existing schedule of four daily flights, better accommodating the increased leisure and corporate travel needs to and from Egypt as the new year unfolds.
Operated by the Boeing 777-300ER fleet, the flights will ensure seamless connections to vital Asian destinations such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. This strategic scheduling reinforces Emirates’ dedication to optimizing travel experiences for passengers.
Egypt holds historical significance for Emirates as one of its first destinations. The airline proudly states that Cairo currently features the highest deployment of A380 aircraft in the Middle East and North Africa, aside from Dubai. Once the fifth daily flight is introduced, Cairo will become the most frequented city on Emirates’ African route network, showcasing the airline’s enduring commitment to the market as it approaches its 40-year milestone of service.
“Being one of the busiest gateways in the region for both passengers and cargo, Cairo has always been crucial for Emirates,” said Adnan Kazim, the airline’s Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. “The added service will enhance connectivity within our network while strengthening trade and tourism ties among Egypt, the UAE, and beyond. As we approach our 40th anniversary of operations in Cairo, this enhanced schedule highlights our steadfast commitment to the region.”
Kazim also expressed gratitude to Egyptian authorities for their support in securing this new flight frequency, expressing enthusiasm for welcoming passengers aboard soon.
The strong bilateral ties between Egypt and the UAE encompass various sectors, including tourism, industrial, and commercial developments across Cairo and the northern coast. The new frequency aims to improve connectivity between the two nations while increasing cargo capacity entering and leaving Egypt, facilitating the transport of 300 tonnes weekly via the Boeing 777’s bellyhold.
Emirates SkyCargo, the freight branch of the airline, plays a significant role in transporting essential commodities such as Egyptian fresh produce, including strawberries and various fruits and vegetables. This service not only stimulates the local economy but also connects Egyptian businesses with clients globally, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Since its inaugural flight in 1986, Emirates has established a solid partnership with Egypt’s aviation, tourism, and trade sectors. The airline has expanded its operations, increased flight frequencies, and has successfully transported over 10 million passengers to and from the market, significantly boosting inbound travel from countries like China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Australia.
