South African Airways Expands Johannesburg-Perth Flights
South African Airways (SAA) is expanding its flight services between Johannesburg and Perth, increasing weekly flights from three to five starting December 17, 2024, with a fifth service planned by January 2025. This expansion enhances connectivity for travelers and supports the local community, as over 189,000 South African-born residents live in Australia. The flights will utilize Airbus A340-300 aircraft, offering a total of 131,560 seats annually. This boost in service is expected to foster tourism and business travel between the two countries, marking a significant revival of SAA’s operations in the region after its return in April 2024.
