De Havilland Canada Secures Agreement for 10 Twin Otter Series 300-G Planes
De Havilland Canada recently revealed that IndiaOne Air, a regional carrier in India, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the acquisition of up to 10 Twin Otter Series 300-G aircraft. This exciting development was made public on November 18, 2025, during the Dubai Airshow, which De Havilland Canada termed a “significant milestone” for both organizations.
Based in Ahmedabad, IndiaOne Air focuses on serving remote and underserved areas of India. The airline received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in June 2022, establishing its commitment to improving regional connectivity.
Kumar Garg, the CEO of IndiaOne Air, stated, “The Twin Otter 300-G is the perfect fit for our plans to expand operations to regional destinations with shorter runway lengths.” He emphasized the aircraft’s performance, reliability, and versatility as key factors in their decision, aligning with their mission to make air travel accessible across all corners of India.
Garg further expressed enthusiasm about partnering with De Havilland Canada, stating the significance of introducing this modern and proven aircraft into India’s aviation landscape. The new 300-G version is set to enhance connectivity throughout the country, especially in areas lacking sufficient airport infrastructure.
Ryan DeBrusk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at De Havilland Canada, welcomed IndiaOne Air into their family of operators. He noted that their choice of the Twin Otter 300-G highlights its established performance and suitability for operations in challenging environments worldwide. DeBrusk looks forward to aiding IndiaOne Air in expanding their network and connecting more communities across India.
The Twin Otter 300-G is recognized for its impressive short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities and comes equipped with advanced avionics, making it an ideal option for regional airlines seeking versatility.
Starlink Integration for Dash 8-400 Operators
In a related announcement on November 17, 2025, De Havilland Canada also introduced a retrofit option for Starlink in-flight internet on its Dash 8-400 aircraft.
Starlink can be chosen as a ‘factory option’ through De Havilland Canada’s OEM Refurbishment Program, or as a retrofit for existing Dash 8-400 aircraft. This addition showcases De Havilland’s commitment to innovation and delivering high-quality solutions to its clients.
DeBrusk remarked, “Incorporating Starlink into the Dash 8-400 underscores our dedication to enhancing our products and meeting our customers’ needs.” Passengers can now expect reliable, high-speed internet for streaming, browsing, and other online activities, aligning the regional flying experience with the expectations of modern travelers.
